With chapters across western and central New York as well as the Toronto chapter in Ontario, Canada, the council covers a wide area in providing service on behalf of the IMA and its chapters.
The council’s purpose includes, but is not limited to:
* Furthering the objectives of the IMA and its members
* Promoting and facilitating cooperation and communication between chapters
* Providing a means to pool resources to assist chapters with attaining their objectives and goals
Each council consists of:
* Board of Directors, based upon election
* Delegates who are IMA Chapter representative(s), selected by the Chapter as well as permanent delegates of the Council
* IMA members wishing to participate and attend Council events (as permitted)
